LOCATION AND TRAVEL

Sopron
is a little ancient city in the west of Hungary being
near to the Austrian border. It is easy accessible via
Vienna (60 km from Sopron) or via Budapest (220 km from
Sopron). Transfer will be provided from Vienna airport
(15 EUR). Intercity trains are available from Budapest
(travelling time 2.30 hours).

clothing and weather
In late August temperature is usually
warm (around 28 0C) and dry in the Sopron
region. For the excursion footwear adequate for walk in
the forest is recommended.
VISAS
Participants from the EU countries do
not need visa. Delegates from other countries should
contact their travel agent or the nearest Hungarian
consulate for up to date information for entering
Hungary.
Bank and currency exchange
The currency is the Hungarian forint
(HUF). Delegates may change foreign currency at several
banks, many exchange bureaux or hotels. Bankomats are
available all over the town. International credit cards
are accepted for payments in hotels, restaurants and
shops.
Insurance
We recommend that participants
arrange their own insurance for health, travel and
property. The organisers will not accept any liability
for personal injury or loss of, or damage to property.

Electricity supply is 230 V.
